John Klatt
In 1995 John began giving serious thought to enhancing his flying career in a non traditional aviation role. John’s creative juices began to flow and after much research, consulting and introspection, he set forth on the tedious journey toward professional aerobatic performance. Early involvements in aerobatics lead to the participation in unlimited class aerobatic competitions. John gained valuable experience and recognition via numerous national and regional wins. In 2000, John sought to establish himself as a professional airshow performer. This has been a substantial shift from his college days where he received his degree in Communications.
John brings to John Klatt Airshows, Inc. 21 years of aviation experience. Sixteen of those years have been with the Air National Guard as Major John Klatt, where he has flown C-130 turboprop transport aircraft around the planet to the F-16 Fighting Falcon in air support and combat roles. John also maintains the role of first officer with a major US commercial airline.
In spite of the travel and time away form home and family, John is very much a husband and father. With the help of his charming wife Deborah, two most delightful offspring are being raised to the high standard of the Klatt family. Aside from aviation, John enjoys camping, fishing, and traveling with his family.
